Dear Friend,
Imagine a community where children are healthy, safe and supported by strong families. A community where more than 3,000 volunteers and partner organizations are coming together to make a difference.
Actually, you don’t have to imagine – you are already helping us to make that community possible through the Hands On Forsyth program at the Forsyth County Community Connection!
However, the current economic situation is threatening our momentum and impacting our ability to meet budget requirements for 2010. We have already reduced our proposed spending for next year and may need to eliminate some of the critical services provided to Forsyth County families. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
It has been suggested that if each of our more than 3,000 volunteers just donate $10, we could easily avoid the projected budget shortfall. $10 is the cost per volunteer, per year to run the Hands On Forsyth program. Therefore, I’m writing you to ask if you would consider a $10 donation to ensure our good works can continue without interruption. Of course, all donations will be directed toward the programs of the Community Connection to ensure that families continue to get the support they need and that volunteers remain connected to the community.
